6. Warrior Regains The Intercontinental Title From Rick Rude At Summerslam 89.
This was probably Warriors first really good match in the WWF, as he had a freaky chemistry with Rude that was lacking with most of Warriors other opponents. Just ask Andre the Giant, who famously hated working with him around the same time. More importantly, this was the Hero loses his way and then regroups and vanquishes his foe stage of his career, showing that he could rebound from the shocking upset to Rude at Wrestlemania V and then get to the next level. Plus it was really awesome to see Rude finally get everything that was coming to him. From here it was only up for Warrior, as he proceeded to destroy Andre around the house show circuit for the rest of the fall, prepping for the next big stage of his career path. This match also contains my all-time favorite Jesse Ventura rant, as he goes off on Tony Schiavone for suggesting that anything is legal outside of the ring. Great stuff all around.
