It was an eventful week for wrestling fans, which seems like something we can say nearly every week lately. There always seems to be some sort of bad news whether it's about an injury to somebody or stories about WWE losing money. The big announcement was on Thursday with WWE saying they had 700,000 subscribers for WWE Network. That number was lower than they envisioned six months ago when the WWE Network started. As a result, WWE laid off 55 people this week as well as five wrestlers in developmental. The only on screen performer affected was Ricardo Rodriguez, who has barely been used in recent months. There was also huge news for TNA Wrestling after a late Sunday night report about how Spike TV wasn't going to renew their contract. If that happens it could be the end of TNA Wrestling unless they can find another network that would be willing to pay them to have their show on their channel. While nothing is official from Spike TV's side as of yet, the feeling is they are moving on. Regarding the on screen product, WWE is rolling towards SummerSlam with a pretty good lineup. The Cena/Lesnar main event should be really good while the Reigns/Orton, Jericho/Wyatt and Rollins/Ambrose matches are strong in the midcard. Two divas matches also have momentum with Paige taking out AJ Lee on Smackdown and Stephanie McMahon having a hot ending to Raw with Brie Bella. The business side of WWE may be suffering, but the on screen product is strong. Here is this week's Q&A based on questions sent to me on Twitter @johnreport on Friday. Thank you for the great questions as always.
