What's so surprising about Vince McMahon bringing back one of the most popular WWE Divas of all time? Because she once tried to sue him and his company for $110 million. That's why! For a time, Sable's popularity was only eclipsed by Steve Austin's in the WWF. This didn't last too long, as she was apparently a headache behind the scenes. Management began to sour on her, she was turned heel and took a backseat role in storylines. Eventually, she quietly disappeared altogether. It was strange to see such a big star go missing from TV. The reason she left was because of allegations of sexual harassment which later turned into a major lawsuit. The WWF denied her claims, and McMahon in turn sued her over the use of the name Sable. It was a messy situation, and most fans thought with such venom spewing from both sides that they'd never see her again. In 2003, she did return with a vengeance. Well, at least you can say she returned. Sable came back to the WWE as a heel, and even aligned on-air with Vince to battle his daughter Stephanie. It was a strange pairing. This run was nowhere near as successful as before, but at least she was back briefly in the good graces of the company. To this day, Vince just doesn't seem to be phased much by lawsuits, as he even brought back her husband Brock Lesnar years later after the two also engaged in legal battles.
