WWE: 13 Best Spots Ever In The Royal Rumble

3. Two Forces Collide

The Royal Rumble has been a regular showcase for battles between huge behemoths. Got two big guys on the roster? You can guarantee there'll be a face-off in the Rumble. Two particular ones that come to mind for me are Earthquake and Tugboat, and Earthquake and Yokozuna. Topping both of these, there was finally the meeting of Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior at the 1990 Royal Rumble. With Hogan the clear king of the WWF mountain, a young pretender by the name of the Ultimate Warrior was destined to become a main eventer and wrestling legend. After an age of anticipation, the two would finally butt heads in the '90 Rumble match. Having both cleaned house, the Warrior and Hogan would briefly clash before taking each other down and then getting the elbow drops put to them by the Barbarian. Later in the match, the Warrior would save Hogan from elimination, although the Hulkster would inadvertently eliminate the Parts Unknown native after that. Hogan would go on to no-sell his way to victory in the 1990 Royal Rumble match, but the fuse had been well and truly lit for the main event of Wrestlemania 6.
