The 1995 Royal Rumble gave fans a finish that would live long in the memory. Appearing like the British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith, had eliminated Shawn Michaels to claim the spoils and head to Wrestlemania, poor Davey Boy had taken his eyes off the prize. Whilst a clothesline had seemingly taken Michaels over the top rope to give Bulldog the victory, all wasn't quite what it seemed. With Bulldog celebrating his win, complete with his entrance music blaring out, Michaels had managed to hang on to the ropes and scramble back into the ring. The get-out for HBK was that only one foot had hit the floor. Of course, he proceeded to dump Bulldog out of the ring, get the win, head to Wrestlemania and realise the boyhood dream of becoming WWF Champion. This would be one of many times that the British Bulldog would sadly do the J-O-B to the Heartbreak Kid. One does have to wonder, just how stupid were the announcers, who had a clear view of all of this, during the finish but thought Bulldog had won, and who was the eager beaver backstage that had his finger ready to play Davey Boy's music? Gotta love wrestling logic...
