Hold it right there, internet! We're not having the Chris Benoit debate here. What he did at the end of his life is unforgivable, and rightly so. But this article is entirely about in-ring ability. And there is no denying that Benoit was an amazing talent between the ropes, so we're focusing entirely on that. All clear? Right! Benoit is another graduate of the Hart Family Dungeon, one of the last to personally receive training from Stu Hart. He would compete in Canada and Japan before breaking into America in ECW. It was here that he would earn the "Crippler" nickname after an unfortunate incident with Sabu, who broke his neck following a botched flapjack. He would later go on to find championship success in WCW before heading to WWE in 2000. It was here that he had some of his greatest rivalries against Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero and in particular Kurt Angle, with whom he would have a phenomenal series of matches including a Steel Cage match, and Iron Man match and a Two Out Of Three Falls match. He would hold numerous championships, including the World Heavyweight Title which he won at Wrestlemania 20, and to this day he is one of only two men to win the Royal Rumble starting from the number one position. It's a legacy that by rights should go down in history and be in the Hall Of Fame, but thanks to his actions, never will
