5. Tag Team Of The Year: The New Day

The easiest Slammy to predict is Tag Team of the Year. The New Day have held their WWE World Tag Team Championships for the entire year, beating everyone who has tried to take the titles from them. The merchandise machines have remained a stand-out act through the year, never failing to get the crowd to chant "New Day Rocks!"

By hook or by crook, they've managed to outsmart, out-wrestle, and out-entertain every other tag team in the division. This year alone, they've retained their titles against The Usos, The League of Nations, Enzo & Cass, The Vaudevillains, The Club, and Cesaro & Sheamus. The only blemishes on their 2016 record are their loss at WrestleMania and the beatings they received from The Wyatt Family.

While The New Day are firmly fixated on breaking Demolition's record tag team title reign, they're a certainty to pick up the Slammy of Tag Team of the Year. In their attempts to reinvigorate the tag team division, WWE should be incredibly thankful for The New Day, as they've become its backbone. Successful as faces and prosperous as heels, 2016 will forever be The New Day's year.
