WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Jan 17)

5. 50/50

The term €œ50/50€ booking has been popping up a lot lately. It€™s talents basically trading wins and losses with each other forever and ever until the end of time, and no one breaks out because of it. This week saw multiple examples of that (The Dudleyz finally winning against The Wyatt Family, as opposed to Bray and co. simply looking strong for their next feud, and Stardust attacking Titus O€™Neil right after his win), but the worst example was Kalisto simply dropping his US Title back to Alberto Del Rio just days after winning it. What was the point of that? It€™s another start and stop push for a talent, and every time it makes it harder to get invested in them when the next push comes around. We just went through this with Kalisto in November when he picked up a massive underdog victory against Ryback in the Heavyweight Title Tournament, only to then lose his next match... to Alberto Del Rio. The company is lacking in strong babyfaces at the moment (as well as strong heels), so why are they so afraid to give anyone a little momentum? Try and sell some Kalisto masks to the kids, build the US division around him, and if it flops, then move onto something else. But don€™t push the man, then take it back and then try again. Using a little math here, constant 50/50 booking is a 99% bad idea.
