It was a good run. No, it was a great run. But its over. The Yes movement died this week it appears. Fans put up a good fight, but WWE was too stubborn. They gave us what we wanted last year, but over the past few months let us know that they werent going to cave again. Dolph Ziggler defeating Daniel Bryan in 10 minutes on Raw signaled that he is now a mid-carder. Even if it is the reverse momentum move WWE likes to pull, where the guy who wins the title at the pay-per-view loses the match before the big show, it doesnt really matter. The Intercontinental Title has been effectively defined as a worthless title, especially over the past few years. If Bryan is the champ, what evidence is there that the title would suddenly be relevant? Its too bad that WWE never went all in on Bryan, and believed he could be the face of the company. He did a fantastic job representing them when he spoke about Connor at the Hall of Fame. Hes likable, charismatic, and a great wrestler, but he didnt have the support of the one man that counted. The next time that fans find a champion of their own, theyll have to accept that unless Vince loves him too, it wont matter.
