WWE Clash In Italy 2026: 8 Things That NEED To Happen
7. Rhea Ripley Retains Via Super Riptide
Behold a title rematch that definitely didn't need to happen, but it's on the slate anyway.
Jade Cargill doesn't feel anywhere close to the level of Rhea Ripley at the moment, which speaks to just how badly bungled her title reign was before dropping the belt to 'Mami' at WrestleMania. Triple H put Michin and B-FAB alongside Jade for...reasons, which hasn't helped either. The trio seem less threatening than newbies Fatal Influence!
Only one result makes sense on Sunday: Ripley securing the pin by going big and going strong. A super Riptide from the top turnbuckle would keep Cargill down for the 3 count and let Rhea march on to a coming feud with on/off uneasy ally Charlotte Flair. Right now, that sounds like a much tastier showdown than this redo.
It's back to the drawing board for Jade. Her union with Michin and FAB won't last too long (it shouldn't; the alliance was illogical from the get go and hasn't done much for anyone involved), so it's all about what comes next for Cargill on SmackDown. Putting her back in a tag-team could be a decent shout if these solo struggles persist.
For Rhea, this is as routine as title defence as you're gonna get. Her rivalry with Jade sucked wind early and hasn't ever really picked up, so WWE's writers will just want to power through Italy and get to what comes after. Hardly the sign of an inspiring, must see PLE match, is it?
Yeah, super Riptide "that bitch" and look ahead.
