CM Punk is back in WWE - and the company's creative team has the biggest possible feuds lined up for him.

Per Sports Illustrated, Punk is to work with WWE well beyond next year's WrestleMania 40, with his appearance in Philadelphia "adding to a star-studded show." There, he could feature alongside such WWE luminaries as Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Brock Lesnar, and John Cena.

As far as Punk-specific creative goes, SI writes that although this won't be the 45-year-old's first feud back in WWE, the company plans on having him feud with Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns eventually. World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins comes first, however. This follows Survivor Series 2023, where Rollins reacted angrily to Punk's shocking appearance at the end of the show.

Rollins called Punk a "hypocrite" on Raw two nights later. In his show-closing promo, Punk claimed he was in WWE to make money, not friends, contradicting earlier statements on being a changed man.

Interestingly, SI notes concerns amongst active WWE wrestlers regarding how Punk will integrate himself into the locker room. Given the spats that characterised his AEW run, comparisons have been drawn between Punk's comeback and that of Scott Hall, Hulk Hogan, and Kevin Nash to WWE in 2002.
