WWE Crown Jewel 2023: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True
Crown Jewel could be a vicious slap back to reality for WWE fans.
CAUTION! This piece was written on Halloween, so it's perhaps no coincidence it's crammed full of spooky horrors and nightmarish outcomes that'll leave you with half-chewed fingernails. Speaking of which, WWE's creative team must be gnawing their own nails ahead of Crown Jewel, because they've got some big decisions to make.
What if they make all the wrong ones?!
Oh, don't make that face. You know the drill by now, surely. The word "nightmares" in the title gives the game away. This article is obsessed with all the worst that could occur on WWE's next PLE. Saturday night's big show could be a pre-Survivor Series shocker!
Picture championship changes you definitely don't want to happen, writers slapping longstanding gimmicks right in the chops, more misery for top babyfaces, middle-finger sporting heels laughing at you and more. Those are the kinds of scares which could be waiting on WWE Network/Peacock this weekend.
There's virtually nothing positive within these pages. So, if you dare, take a walk through a WWE-themed house of horror and find out just how awful things could be come close of business on Saturday.
Have fun!
10. Nia Jax Becomes Women’s World Champ
Good lord, what a terrifying thought.
The cat was out the bag a long time ago: Nia Jax is not a great worker, and is in fact rather dangerous during select moments in-ring. She is relatively fresh again having just returned though, and Rhea Ripley has a lot of other business going on with the Judgment Day. What if? what if?! Oh...oh no!
It'd be rotten if Triple H decided to put the Women's World Title on Nia and cast her as some dominant heel veteran who's returned to run roughshod over a division that was frankly better off without her. If that sounds harsh, then apologies, but the thought of Jax as champ is grim.
Rhea-listically, Ripley is the one who should hold onto that belt for as long as possible. Nobody else involved in this five-way has the star power she possesses. Unfortunately, WWE has made poor decisions before, and this would qualify as another one.
