5. Rob Van Dam

2006 should have been a great year for Rob Van Dam. Defeating John Cena at the second One Night Stand event, RVD became WWE Champion and was then made ECW World Champion to spearhead the relaunch of his beloved ECW.

Instead, the Whole F'n Show dropped both of those titles after being suspended by WWE after a drug possession arrest.

Van Dam has gone on to have an extremely good career, but he would never be trusted at the top of the WWE tree after that incident. Here in 2020, RVD has not long wrapped up his latest run with IMPACT Wrestling - with both parties open to working together again in the future.
