WWE Fan Favourite Set For "Serious Push"?
This Raw wrestler could be set for a big WWE push after impressing in a recent trial run.
Montez Ford could be the subject of what has been described to GiveMeSports' Louis Dangoor as a "serious push" in WWE sometime in the future.
Per the report, a number of influential WWE figures believe that Ford has the potential to become a big star for the promotion, with a significant singles run seemingly still on the table despite cancelled Draft plans that would have seen Montez split from Angelo Dawkins, his partner in The Street Profits.
Ford and Dawkins ended up being drafted from SmackDown to Raw on 4 October. The duo have been together since 2016, capturing the Raw, SmackDown, and NXT Tag Team Titles over the past five years.
SmackDown's 24 September episode hosted Ford's last singles match. He fell to Roman Reigns in a well-received main event that night, with WWE reportedly putting it together as something of a "trial" ahead of a potential singles run. Per Dangoor, Montez passed this test "with flying colours."
Ford, 31, has only ever appeared on WWE television alongside Dawkins, having debuted under his real name, Kenneth Crawford, in a tag loss to The Hype Bros on NXT's 16 March 2016 episode.
