Background: A desperate Randy Orton realizes that his only chance to once again become WWE World Heavyweight Champion may be to win the 2014 Money in the Bank match. However, it's Dolph Ziggler, riding a hot streak that started with a win in WrestleMania XXX's Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, who snatches the briefcase. In the ensuing months, Orton torments Ziggler, attacking him constantly and making sure he never has the opportunity to use his contract. However, he refuses to wrestle Dolph one on one. Finally, Dolph offers to put the briefcase on the line, and Orton accepts. The match is made for WrestleMania. The Match: Orton and Ziggler have clashed before, but never with Orton as heel and Ziggler as babyface. The dynamic is clearly different, as Dolph fights valiantly in the early goings, keeping Orton off his game with speed and athleticism. It's only when "The Viper" pokes Ziggler in the eye and nails an over-the-back neckbreaker that he's able to take control. From there, the pace slows down to Orton's speed. He works Dolph over with stomps and holds, draining the energy from Mr. Money in the Bank. Orton attempts another neckbreaker, but Ziggler slides out and nails a big dropkick to even things up. Both men try big moves, with Orton finally landing his powerslam. He punches the mat for the RKO, but when he attempts the maneuver, Ziggler shoves him off into the ropes. Orton rebounds back-first into a Zig-Zag, which gives Dolph the win. Winner: Dolph Ziggler in 18:53
