After months of teasing tension within the Judgment Day, last night's WWE Raw finally saw Finn Balor kicked out of the faction.

Of course, Balor had recently shown plenty of babyface tendencies in his two losses to CM Punk, not to mention last week stopping JD McDonagh from interfering in Dominik Mysterio's match against Penta, where Dirty Dom would lose the Intercontinental Title.

On Raw last night, Mysterio complained in the ring about losing that championship, leading to Balor and McDonagh coming out to console Dominik, complete with Finn apologising for his role in that defeat. As the former Universal Champion explained, he was trying to teach Mysterio a lesson, though he's now realised that maybe Rey Mysterio was right, as Balor called Dom a "spoiled little pr**k".

From there, Dominik slapped Finn, who retaliated with a Pele kick before being dragged away by JD McDonagh. And when Mysterio then ran at Balor, he dropped Dom with a slingblade, only for JD to then clothesline his longtime friend and mentor. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez would join in the attack on Finn, as Mysterio hit Balor with two frog splashes, the second of which had a steel chair over Finn.

With that, Finn Balor is out of the Judgment Day, setting up the likely Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio match at WrestleMania 42; a match that was, at one point, per WWE Unreal, pencilled in for last year's WrestleMania. Interestingly, there were rumblings of Finn embracing his Demon persona for that scrapped 'Mania 41 contest, so it remains to be seen whether the Irishman will indeed be donning the paint at this year's Showcase of the Immortals. The last time fans saw the Demon was in a Hell in a Cell loss to Edge at WrestleMania 39.
