WWE Gimmicks That FAILED The HARDEST Every Year (1985-2025)
2. The Wyatt Sicks (2024)
It'd be senseless to claim that The Wyatt Sicks introduction on the 17 June 2024 edition of Raw was anything but badass. Fans were pumped to see Uncle Howdy and his own Wyatt Family-esque cast of character pay tribute to Bray, and the homage felt both heartfelt and touching.
Showing respect to Wyatt was cool, but The Sicks have largely been a waste of space creatively ever since. The 'Firefly Fun House' aspect and Nikki Cross, Eric Rowan, Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis portraying characters from it has been downplayed a lot following their summer 2024 arrival, which...negates the point of The Wyatt Sicks in the first place.
Worse, their feuds with American Made, The Final Testament (remember that?!) and more after jumping to SmackDown in 2025 have regularly ranked amongst the worst WWE has to offer. The Sicks put a stranglehold on the SmackDown tag-team division that's hard to defend, but it's what they did in 2024 that's the real focus here.
The honeymoon period and sentimentality they revelled in started to rub off over on Raw. Once it did, there was no going back. Howdy, portrayed by Bo Dallas, didn't have good matches whenever he performed in-ring, and some of his rambling, cryptic promos are too close to the worst of Bray for everyone's comfort.
WWE greeted The Sicks like a true game-changing act that'd shake things up on Mondays. Instead, fans cheered along with the Wyatt respect but quickly lost interest in following what the group was up to after the fact. No wonder, to be honest.
