WWE Legend To Appear At GCW Show Featuring Jon Moxley Vs. Nick Gage
The Hall of Famer will present Game Changer Wrestling's World title on 9 October.
Pro wrestling legend Mick Foley will appear at Game Changer Wrestling's Fight Club: Mox Vs. Gage event on 9 October, the promotion has announced.
Foley will present the GCW World Championship ahead of Jon Moxley vs. Nick Gage. Those two will contest the belt in the show's main event, facing off one-on-one for the first time since Mox bested his rival in a 2010 no ropes barbed wire deathmatch for Combat Zone Wrestling.
This will be Mick's first wrestling appearance of any kind since July 2019, when he was attacked by Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' character after stating his desire to challenge for R-Truth's 24/7 Championship on WWE Raw. Foley has been critical of WWE's practices recently, saying the world's biggest promotion was is "no longer the place for talent to aspire to" in September, highlighting key creative flaws.
Moxley has been GCW Champion since 4 September's The Art of War Games show. The former AEW World Champion flattened Matt Cardona that night, besting the hard-trolling sports entertainer in an open challenge match that lasted little over a minute.
Mox has been feuding with Gage since a heated confrontation following The King's win over Rickey Shane Page on 9 April.
