With WWE nowadays dropping main roster talent into NXT for short - or sometimes longer - runs, could Tegan Nox be set for an NXT return? Possibly.

Per Fightful Select, NXT officials have requested for Nox to be made available for the brand, with these requests actually dating back to before this year's WWE Draft. As it stands, there are currently no creative plans for the Welsh superstar on the main roster, and Fightful's Corey Brennan notes how Nox is expected to have another run in NXT "soon".

Having been under the WWE umbrella since 2017, the former Nixon Newell has been on the main roster since July 2021. The end of last year saw Nox paired up with Natalya, but with that team having come to an end - the 2024 WWE Draft sending Tegan to SmackDown and keeping Natalya on Raw - the 29-year-old hasn't wrestled on TV since the 1 April episode of Raw, where she teamed with Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark in a losing effort against Damage CTRL's Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Dakota Kai.

Tegan Nox did have a fleeting return to NXT back in October, where she lost to Lyra Valkyria as the Irish grappler was being positioned to dethrone Becky Lynch as the NXT Women's Champion. One former NXT talent told Fightful that Nox has "unfinished business" with the brand, and it could well be that she'll be back in NXT to settle that business sooner rather than later.

While some speculated that Tegan could wind up being the surprise opponent for Roxanne Perez at Battleground next week, last night's NXT saw General Manager Ava shockingly reveal TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace as the person who'll be facing Perez for the NXT Women's Title at the UFC Apex on 9 June.
