WWE Money In The Bank 2025: 7 Nightmares That Could Come True

7. There’s Another Match That Adds Nothing

Some will scan the sub-heading above and say, "...but 4 bouts is seriously lacking for any major PLE show'. Those shouting that loudly would be right, but something else must be said: What matches are out there in the short-term that would add to the Money In The Bank card? Go on, have a right good think. There aren't many, are there?

AJ Styles vs. Dominik Mysterio would be good from a technical standpoint, but it feels more like something that should happen on Raw after a bit more build. If that happens at MITB, then it'll be a blatant rush job from the creative team, and AJ challenging for the Intercontinental belt deserves more than that. What next?

An exhibition title defence for Tiffany Stratton or IYO SKY would fall short of PLE quality, because there just aren't any challengers who fit the 'one and done' packaging they'd need. Stratton vs. Nia Jax can't happen again for a while, and Liv Morgan going after IYO sounds tasty but is still in the oven on episodes of Raw.

Sadly, WWE could well panic book something to pad out the night. Triple H does love his 5-strong lineups, and he's a match short this time around. Nick Aldis announcing something for a SmackDown tag division that was criminally overlooked during WrestleMania 41 weekend would maybe get pass marks, but that really depends on what it ends up being.

Nah, they should just leave things as they are. Cody Rhodes and probably Seth Rollins will take around 84 million years during their respective entrances anyway. Hell, get a Roman Reigns promo on there and his intro will take us through to Night Of Champions.
