WWE Night Of Champions 2026: 8 Things That NEED To Happen

7. Jade Cargill Reclaims Women’s Gold

This is happening, isn't it? Tiffany Stratton hasn't felt like a major ongoing concern to WWE since before she dropped the Women's Title to Jade Cargill last November. Indeed, she was sinking badly whilst her title reign was still active. Baffling, but true - Trips seemingly struggles when it comes to booking contingency plans (or even concrete ones in advance) for his champions.

Jade knows all about that, because her own title run was lacklustre before Rhea Ripley beat her for the strap at WrestleMania 42. Now, both Cargill and Stratton find themselves on opposite sides of the ring again, albeit this time for the Women's United States gold. There's a fair chance that Jade takes that as her own over in Saudi.

Tiffy Time is more like a smashed clock these days, and it looks like she's heading for an odd couple tandem with Chelsea Green and run in the women's tag division anyway. So, it's only logical that Jade seizes the day, takes her title and then has something to defend vs. Charlotte Flair come SummerSlam in just over a full month.

Technically, Jade vs. Charlotte doesn't need a belt on the line, but WWE would perhaps feel odd about bunging the bout on either night at SummerSlam without something being up for grabs. Sorry, Stratton, but that means you're taking another 'L' courtesy of Cargill. When will such torment cease?

Seriously though, Tiffany hasn't been doing a great deal since becoming champ anyway, and at least that Women's US prize is guaranteed more TV time if Flair is involved in the hunt.
