WWE Offering Adam Cole ANOTHER New Contract?
An update on Adam Cole, whose next destination appears to be Raw, SmackDown, or AEW.
Adam Cole's professional wrestling future is currently up in the air, with the 32-year-old seemingly done with WWE NXT after his TakeOver 36 loss to Kyle O'Reilly.
The former NXT Champion is currently bound to a short-term agreement signed after his previous WWE deal expired in July. Though this was previously reported to have expired on Monday, this has since been corrected, with Cole not hitting the free agent's market until Friday 27 August.
But WWE's attempts at keeping hold of Cole are far from over. Per Fightful Select, WWE is expected to extend another new contract offer to the former Undisputed Era leader by the end of the week.
Cole has been linked heavily to All Elite Wrestling in recent times, with his girlfriend Britt Baker and The Young Bucks teasing him jumping to their home promotion earlier in the week. This is despite Adam attending a reportedly productive meeting with WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon at a set of SmackDown tapings a few weeks ago.
Raw, SmackDown, or AEW appear to be next on Cole's horizon. He had been in the NXT system since 2017, and was presented as something close to a franchise player for much of those four years.
