WWE Planning SHOCKING WrestleMania 38 Return?
Step aside, Cody Rhodes. Another big WrestleMania 38 return may be in the works.
Cody Rhodes might not be the only big return WWE is lining up for WrestleMania 38.
As originally reported by PWInsider's Mike Johnson, the promotion will be bringing Shane McMahon to Dallas, Texas for WrestleMania weekend. This has been confirmed through multiple sources.
There is currently no word on if McMahon will appear on either of WrestleMania's two nights. The biggest wrestling show of the year takes place on Saturday 2 April and Sunday 3 April.
Similarly, whether or not the backstage heat on Shane stemming from his heavy-handed role in assisting in the 2022 men's Royal Rumble's production has dissipated yet is unclear. Pitching and booking himself in several prominent spots led to issues with Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, Vince McMahon, and other personnel, as well as WWE scrapping creative plans for Shane through WrestleMania - and Vince releasing his own son.
Now, it appears that at the very least, Shane will be in Dallas. PWInsider's writeup notes that some people within WWE had previously pitched the idea of McMahon facing Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38.
Rollins is currently expected to wrestle the returning Cody Rhodes on Saturday, following Raw's reveal that Vince McMahon will personally pick Seth's 'Mania opponent on the show itself.
