WWE RAW 2/25/2013: 5 Things We Learned

2. John Cena and CM Punk Bring The House Down

This week's main event match was burdened with high expectations. Not only did the bout feature CM Punk and John Cena squaring off against each other in the final match of the show, but it was for a spot versus The Rock for the WWE Championship in the main event of Wrestlemania. This alone would be enough to close the show on RAW, but both men put together an epic match in what is probably the last time they will face each other for some time. This match was easily one of the best matches of the year thus far, with near fall after near fall after near fall, a hurricanrana from John Cena, and an old school piledriver from CM Punk. Both men gave everything they had, but the end result was never in question: John Cena wins and moves on to face The Rock at Wrestlemania, and CM Punk loses gracefully and heads off to his next challenge. Cena also begins his climb back to his old winning ways with this victory, having come out short handed so many times over the past year.
