WWE Releases Tyler Breeze & August Grey
WWE continues to make even MORE releases...
Following the news in the past hour or so that WWE has released Fandango, Ever-Rise, Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari and writer Kenice Mobley, there now comes reports that Tyler Breeze and August Grey have also been let go by Vince McMahon’s sports entertainment juggernaut.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful was the first to report the release of the highly charismatic Breeze, while PWInsider initially broke the news of Grey’s release.
For 33-year-old Tyler, he’d been in the WWE system dating back to 2010, working in Florida Championship Wrestling before that developmental territory eventually grew into the NXT brand. Prince Pretty spent four years or so on the main roster between 2015 and 2019, with him and Fandango working in NXT as recently as 15 June.
As for August Grey, he only actually signed with WWE last August, making sporadic appearances on NXT and 205 Live before the former CZW World Heavyweight Champion was handed his release today.
Seemingly Grey is at least seeing some humour in his situation, taking to Twitter to explain how his already-taped match against Grayson Waller on tonight’s 205 Live is suddenly a Loser Leaves Town contest.

Whether any further WWE releases happen today or in the next few days remains to be seen, but this is yet another round of cuts made by the organisation this year - following groups of releases earlier this month, in May, in April, and several other firings dotted throughout the rest of 2021.
