WWE Star Lars Sullivan FINALLY Releases Statement On Recent Controversies
The big man says he's remorseful for his online transgressions.
Yesterday brought several new developments in the growing Lars Sullivan situation, with Bryan Alvarez claiming WWE weren't going to punish 'The Freak's' online transgressions because he apologised for them upon signing with the promotion, and WrestleVotes reporting that the company were hoping the issue would "stay low and disappear."
Evidence of Sullivan's problematic online past first emerged in November 2018. The discussion was reignited when a Reddit user compiled Lars' worst posts earlier this week, with blocking said Reddit user on Twitter the big man's only response so far.
Now, finally, Lars has issued a statement on the matter (per WrestlingNews.co):-
“There is no excuse for the inappropriate remarks that I made years ago. They do not reflect my personal beliefs nor who I am today, and I apologize to anyone I offended.”
Whether or not this is satisfactory is for those he attacked online to decide, not us. If Sullivan is truly sorry, he must demonstrate to the people on the other side of his vile opinions, including Big E, who tweeted about the matter yesterday:-
Recent weeks have seen WWE present Sullivan as their latest monster heel project. He returned to the company the night after WrestleMania 35, having missed four months through mental health issues, and while Lars is yet to compete on Raw or SmackDown, he has demolished all manner of popular midcarders.
