Lars Sullivan To Escape Punishment For Historic Internet Posts?

Alleged racist remarks may go unpunished by WWE.

Lars Sullivan has become WWE's new pet monster project since returning to the company on the Raw after WrestleMania 35, with 'The Freak' destroying Kurt Angle on his first night back, before adding the likes of Matt Hardy, R-Truth, and No Way Jose to his growing body count.

But while Lars' onscreen fortunes have been excellent, they've been tempered by a storm of controversy brewing backstage. Yesterday saw a Reddit user unleash a comprehensive list of problematic internet posts attributed to Sullivan prior to his WWE signing, including criticisms of Vince McMahon, Daniel Bryan, and AJ Styles, along with several questionable views on minorities.

While nothing new, this led to speculation that Lars would be punished by the organisation. This doesn't seem to be the case, though, with Bryan Alvarez reporting that WWE knew of Lars' transgressions before he signed and don't consider it an issue as he apologised at the time.

It'll be interesting to see if Alvarez's report rings true, particularly if Sullivan's history sparks dissent in the locker-room. Reneging on his push would be a very un-WWE thing to do, though.
