On last night's edition of Raw it was announced that the WWE Survivor Series main event will be The Rock and John Cena against The Miz and R-Truth. Of course it's been no secret after first being announced weeks ago that The Rock would be wrestling in his first match in seven and a half years at the event but initially we heard the idea was for a traditional 5 vs 5 Survivor Series Elimination Match. Of course that could still be the plan and the announcement of a normal tag last night might just be the first step in what will eventually be more names added but there does seem to be a sense that with 10 competitors in the main event at the PPV they may have been cutting their talent roster a bit thin for other marquee matches. Speaking of which at this point another Mark Henry vs. The Big Show match for the World Title seems inevitable after the way their match ended last Sunday and a Triple H vs. Kevin Nash in a No Holds Barred encounter seems all but certain with Nash expected to be cleared to wrestle from Friday. And they also teased an Alberto Del Rio vs. CM Punk match for the WWE Title for the event on last night's Raw. That would seem to be the major matches on the card right now.
