Survivor Series had a lot to live up to after last night's TakeOver, and it just about got over the line. Though it obviously couldn't match the consistency of NXT's quality, there was plenty to write home about.

The 20-man tag-team contest - at one time the traditional Survivor Series curtain-raiser - was shunted to the pre-show, and no surprise given some of the absolute strawbs on the Raw side. As expected, Team SmackDown prevailed when The Usos last eliminated The Revival with a splash.

The show itself started with the heavily outmatched band of SmackDown women squaring off with their Raw counterparts. The blue brand had a potential ace up their sleeve, but it turned out to be Mandy Rose. Oh well. They predictably lost after Nia Jax thumped Asuka, but not before thumping teammate Sasha Banks. Jax received nuclear heat throughout, having made herself public enemy number one after breaking Becky Lynch's face earlier in the week. At least some good's came out of it.

Seth Rollins hit Shinsuke Nakamura - dressed head to toe in beautiful blue velour - with a Curb Stomp to make it 2-1 to Raw. Except the company decided the pre-show result hadn't happened, for some reason. Rollins will now put his Intercontinental title on the line against Dean Ambrose at TLC next month.

Sheamus fell foul to the dreaded distraction rollup when AoP's manager Drake Maverick literally p*ssed himself when confronted with The Big Show. Yes, in 2018, a man urinated his pants on a WWE pay-per-view. Heady days.
