What a weird week it's been. A few days ahead of this year's TLC PPV, fan hype was flying pretty low, but then an outbreak of viral meningitis changed everything.

Kurt Angle replacing Roman Reigns as the third Shield member and a hastily-assembled dream match between AJ Styles and Finn Bálor meant that fans were uncommonly invested in what so often ends up being a forgettable filler PPV.

Though the undercard was as inconsistent as expected, the show certainly delivered where it truly counted, with the two most-anticipated matches serving up pure in-ring magic.

Sure, you had to suffer through a glut of TV-calibre fare to get there (if you watched it live, anyway), but it goes without saying that these bouts elevated what otherwise would've been a thoroughly mediocre event for the most part.

Isn't 2017 just the wildest ride for wrestling fans? And you thought last year was crazy...
