17 Most Brutal Hazing Horror Stories In Wrestling

5. Justin Roberts Gets A Global Warning

Rarely will a collection of hazing tales emerge without mention of John Bradshaw Layfield's name, as evidenced by his presence here and elsewhere in this list. One of the most despicable stories surfaced years later when longstanding WWE ring announcer Justin Roberts was let go from his post and picked that moment to release his memoirs of time on the road with the market leader.

After over a decade constantly working house shows as well as the pay-per-views, Raws and SmackDowns, Roberts built up enough respect from so many of peers that he was able to carve out an entire second career as the premier ring announcer for All Elite Wrestling, but his autobiography is a story of a man never truly able to gain the universal respect of his WWE colleagues - particularly the worst of the worst on the blue brand.

Sticking out amongst the depressingly endless stream of bullying and harassment tales is an alleged passport theft during a UK tour by JBL, with him at least being confirmed as the perp by John Morrison, who told Roberts that Bradshaw had asked him to do the deed. 'JoMo' declined byt somebody else did - the vital item was stolen, resulting in the 'Dapper Yapper' being completely stranded in the United Kingdom until he was able to go through the expensive and brutally laborious process of getting the matter taken care of at the US Embassy in London. That he had other towns to make was relatively low on the priority scale, had he not also had it drilled into him by Bradshaw and others that he didn't love or respect the business enough; via various appalling comments and threats too unpleasant to print here without necessary trigger warnings.

Only (...hopefully) in wrestling.
