7 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (1 December - Results & Review)
Liv Morgan returns to Raw, Breakker delivers on the mic, Gunther/Solo deliver in the ring.
After a woefully disappointing Survivor Series, WWE really had a low bar to clear for Monday Night Raw to be deemed an improvement.
Rather than be satisfied with that easy win, CCO Paul Levesque decided to up the ante and promise that Raw would be “epic” this week.
*ahem*
While Raw was a marked improvement from Saturday night, the show was far from epic. Raw did a great job of making Liv Morgan feel like an incredibly important character in her first night back on the red brand in months. Likewise, it shone a huge spotlight on Bron Breakker in what could be a star-making moment if he continues the momentum of the past 48-plus hours.
Raw also offered fans better wrestling than they saw this weekend, with a shockingly good heel-versus-heel match in The Last Time Is Now Tournament and a crisp tag title match. However, Raw couldn’t resist serving up another trope-laden program with bad acting and a lack of justification for title opportunities.
Overall, though, Raw was a much better show than Survivor Series. Whether this more positive assessment is the result of lowered expectations is up to the viewer.
Let’s get to it…
