4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (16 February - Results & Review)
2. We Need To Have a Conversation
At some point in the very near future, WWE is going to need to have a conversation among its brass about one of its most decorated tag teams.
The Usos might be considered in WWE as one of the greatest tag teams in company history, but they are surviving on legacy alone, rapidly approaching Heroes of Wrestling levels of bad. Their offense looks limp; their coordination and timing in the ring are way off; and they aren’t in sync, which is a terrible look for twins. They have regressed in-ring to the point where it should be an active question whether they are devaluing the WWE World Tag Team Titles by continuing to hold them.
Monday night, the brothers teamed with LA Knight to take on The Vision, and right out of the gate, Jimmy Uso whiffed on a few kicks, and a sequence involving him was clunky. Jey wasn’t too much better, as his crowd-pleasing moves just aren’t hitting with the same punch.
Crowds aren’t into their matches like they were. The reunion of brothers that had only teamed together once between July 2023 and last September should have carried a bit more juice, but they have very quickly become an entrance and a couple of signature spots. They can’t even hit the 1D with consistency.
Whether WWE wants to admit it or not, this is a problem, and they need to address it.
