The narrative follows Nyman's character Phillip Goodman, a sceptical proffessor with a mission to debunk the supernatural when a case is given to him that he cannot solve. Be prepared for jumps and scares as this film is full of them.

As the story progresses, Goodman discovers three victims of ghostly events, all haunted from their experience and looking for answers. It begins to get creepier and creepier, as the professor soon realises that the cases are linked, and the trauma of his own life has effected what he is witnessing in the present.

In the final act of the film, Goodman looks into his childhood, with clues surrounding the film's storyline that lead the audience to a shocking ending - perhaps what he is witnessing is not a case study after all.
