10 Great Actors Who Embarrassed Themselves In Film Musicals

By Jonathan Paxton /

6. Albert Finney in Annie

This movie version of a great American musical is far from perfect but, with a cast packed with Broadway experience, there are some delightful moments. However, despite the acting heft that Albert Finney brings to the pivotal role of Daddy Warbucks, his absence of musicality and apparent lack of interest in any of the musical numbers detracts from the rest of the film€™s ebullience. As in €œScrooge€, Finney shows he is a fine actor but it is further proof that, whilst RADA may bring out passion and soul, it doesn€™t necessarily teach song and dance well.
