Everybody remembers Frank, the young Tennessean and unsung hero of Series 3's Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks debacle two-parter, and one bite out of the Big Apple clearly wasn't enough for Andrew Garfield because he later returned to New York City in 2012 when he came swinging into action as Spider-Man in Sony's Amazing Spider-Man reboot and its subsequent 2014 sequel. It's every child's dream to grow up to become a superhero and Andrew's been lucky enough to live it out for real, as well as the other widely acknowledged ambition to appear in a Doctor Who adventure. Bet he can't believe his luck! The course of being a web-clinging blockbuster exemplar never did run smooth, though, and if you've been following the recent developments then you'll know that he no longer inhabits the role since the franchise was reclaimed by Marvel at the start of the year. This does mean that the character could now appear in future Avenger movies, like seemingly everyone else in the entire universe. Seriously. Surely it's only a matter of time until the Doctor shows up in one? Oh, how fun that would be...
