Nowadays most people know The Crow because of the infamous incident that occurred during filming that led to the untimely death of Brandon Lee - it seems to be that very few have actually seen the movie itself. And that's a shame, because it's a great film and one of the best "forgotten" comic book adaptations, not to mention a visual stunner. The plot concerns a murdered rock musician who rises from the dead to exact vengeance on those who killed her girlfriend. The story sounds kind of hokey when you read it written down (maybe it is), but it's a movie you shouldn't miss. Will The Remake Be Any Good? Well, that's difficult to say. I suppose there's no reason it can't be, especially as it was recently announced that Tom Hiddleston (who is excellent as Loki in The Avengers) might play the Crow. Spanish director F. Javier Gutierrez, who has been lauded in his own country (but isn't very well known abroad) as a director of great means, is apparently going to direct the movie, too. There's definitely a lot to be done with James O'Barr's iconic character, so - what the hell - why not?
