3. Doctor Sleep - Bradley's Death

Doctor Sleep seemed to sidestep the expectations you'd imagine a sequel to The Shining would bring, if only because we all were resigned to the fact it could never hit those heights. While it undeniably didn't, there's still some horrific moments in there.

Not being as good as The Shining seems an outrageously high bar to hold a horror flick to as well.

The gory murder of Jacob Tremblay's Bradley might not match up to The Shining's worst offerings, but it does provide for a brutally scary movie moment nonetheless. Unusually for a horror, the film decides to pan away from the action while this goes down, but the blood curdling screams, blood splatter and frantic shadows are somehow even worse.

Bradley is a pretty minor role, so the casting of a relatively big star like Tremblay didn't seem to fit. However, with the level of abject terror he sells as he's held down to have his guts ripped out, you can see why the studio felt they needed a proven talent.

Even though you can't actually see it, the whole thing is still massively uncomfortable to experience, though it's probably worse for Danny than it was for us.
