10 Ways Superhero Movies & TV Shows Will Be Affected By Current World Events
5. Wonder Woman 1984 Is Likely To Be Postponed Next
Disney has removed all but Artemis Fowl from its release schedule in May, but with the Glastonbury Festival - which takes place in late June - now cancelled, it's clear that event organisers don't believe this thing is going away anytime soon. With that in mind, June's movies are surely next to be pushed back.
For superhero movie fans, that means Wonder Woman 1984 arriving on June 5th is doubtful. Cinemas across the globe have closed their doors, and things are only going to get even more extreme from here, so it's unfortunately wishful thinking to assume that movies will be playing again as normal by the first week of June.
The rest of the world appears to be at least two months behind where China is now, so it's certainly feasible that life will return to normal by June. What's less likely is that a ban on social gatherings will suddenly be lifted the second that happens, making a Wonder Woman 1984 delay inevitable.
Still, given those leaked plot details, we may not be missing out on much!
