10 Ways Superhero Movies & TV Shows Will Be Affected By Current World Events
4. Marvel's Disney+ TV Shows Could Face Serious Delays
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is supposed to debut on Disney+ this August, while WandaVision follows shortly after. Unfortunately, both shows haven't finished shooting, and the former is still reportedly missing huge chunks of footage from its first few episodes, so it's not as simple as just resuming shooting while the first few episodes are released on a weekly basis.
Because Disney+ isn't releasing seasons in their entirety, there's still a lot to do on both shows, and just because it's a TV show, that doesn't mean it's filmed in chronological order!
Studio sources have reported that the Marvel TV shows coming to this streaming service currently in pre-production are being worked on "remotely," but those too could suffer seeing as many of them are scheduled to start shooting over the summer. Loki, meanwhile, is meant to premiere next Spring, so that's another date likely to be pushed back.
The kicker is that all of these shows need to come out in chronilogical order as they feed into what we're supposed to be seeing on the big screen, so simple release date shifts aren't that...simple!
