10 Weirdest Christmas Movies Of All Time

8. Black Christmas

Set in and around a sorority house during the Christmas period, Black Christmas has a crazed killer slaughtering the sisters one by then, as they haplessly attempt to outrun him and get to safety. Granted, this isn't one of the better entries into the list, because it's subject to so many of the horror cliches with which we are now familiar, but at the time, its Christmas theme distinguished it, given how the period was normally reserved for corny, predictable family fare. That someone was considerate enough to cater for the gorehounds, then, lets us be a little more lenient than we usually would be. Given how overstuffed we normally are on sappy cheese, it's great to see a film that just lets loose with the gore - as well as some hilarious drunk performances by some of the actresses - even if its narrative could use a little work. Still, it's miles ahead of the execrable remake that abounded a few years back.
