Release Date: January 16th The Plot: A friendless young groom, Doug (Josh Gad), can't find anyone to be his best man with two weeks to go until the wedding, so he finds a best-man-for-hire service, where Jimmy (Kevin Hart) will pretend to be his best man in order to impress his fiancee's (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) family. Of course, as they attempt to fool an entire congregation, they soon enough start becoming best buds for real. Why It's Awful: For one, it evokes a huge Hitch vibe, what with a slick black guy helping coach a socially awkward, chubby white guy. Secondly, it's a premise that appears to be both completely ridiculous and thoroughly predictable: does anyone genuinely think this shoehorned plot will be good for anything more than a Kevin Hart banter-fest?
