was a horror movie once the film hit cinemas in August 1999.
The Oscar-nommed actress has publicly stated how the movie
and its story struck a special emotional note with her – to the extent that she
was so carried away with that emotion throughout filming that it was only once
the picture was released that the penny dropped that this was a horror feature.
