2. Clayface

The moment that a Clayface movie was announced, many DC fans naturally expected a film focused explicitly on the legendary supervillain in his grotesque clay form.

But Clayface is shaping up to be something quite different from the expected, given that it's been produced for a mere $40 million budget - probably less than half what most surely expected when it was first announced.

After all, all the Clayface VFX doesn't come cheap, and so the budget suggests that this is going to be far more about Matt Hagen (Tom Rhys Harries) using his newfound abilities to impersonate people rather than constantly walking around as a clay blob.

The teaser trailer released basically supports this - anyone expecting a splashy blockbuster where Clayface's final form is featured extensively throughout should probably recalibrate their expectations.

But a film focused on Hagen using his powers for maximum manipulation could be a ton of fun in its own right.
