2. The Special Significance Of Vicki Vale's Blonde Hair

Some fans took umbrage with the fact that Vicki Vale was depicted in the movie as a blonde, given that she's largely appeared with red hair in the comics.

However, Batman co-creator Bob Kane actually lauded the change, because Vale was originally supposed to be blonde in the comics, yet due to a printing error she was turned into a redhead.

Granted, this was surely a happy accident more than anything, because Burton didn't exactly show much deference to the source material throughout the rest of the movie.
