This quasi-remake of Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World has a few laughs here and there, mostly thanks to Kathy Bates insane squirrel lady, but there simply arent enough to justify its running time. A great ensemble cast is largely wasted in a series of broad set pieces that range from the goofy to the puerile. The biggest letdown is the ending, which manages to tack on both a heavy-handed message about altruism and a musical number featuring the pop rock band Smash Mouth.
