6 Ways DC Can Make A Wonder Woman Movie That Doesn't Suck

6. Clothes Make The Woman

Changing the costume sounds simple and yet it means so much. It€™s difficult to be taken seriously when you€™re relegated to wearing something that looks like a cross between a leather leotard and lingerie. The new costume, as seen in the €œBatman v Superman€ trailer is an improvement but still ridiculous. It€™s suspiciously reminiscent of €œXena Warrior Princess€ and Wonder Woman€™s main super power must reside in her chest as it is the only thing that can explain the magical ability of that garment to remain in place. How about something more realistic like form fitting body armor? There€™s no reason why costumes for female super heroes cannot be attractive without resorting to portraying women as nothing more than sex objects. Wonder Woman is a brilliant character who was founded on principles of gender equality. Her costume should be fun but also reflect her status as a role model for women starved for heroes they can call their own.
