16. A Facehugger Attacks
It's not entirely clear whether it's Billy Crudup or his pal who gets attacked here, but while investigating the eggs, one of them pops open and lets out a facehugger, which gets to work presumably gestating one of the pair.

When you consider Crudup's proximity to the egg as it opens up like a flower, it seems pretty damn probable that he's the victim, and his death will then leave Daniels in charge as the new captain.
