Avengers 4: Endgame Trailer Reactions - 8 Ups & 1 Downs
1. It's A Proper Teaser
The vast majority of trailers nowadays give a LOT away, and Marvel is no exception. Even the first Infinity War trailer, which had a similar(ish) function to this one, contained plenty of plot elements, even if it wasn't outright spoiler-y.
This, however, is a proper teaser. The plot hints are few and far between, and what is in there only adds to the intrigue. It shows enough without giving loads of footage from a multitude of scenes. And above all, it does an incredible job of making us want much, much more. It delivers on the lengthy weight and expectations, but means that for the most part (and especially to general audiences) there's still not much idea of what is actually going to happen. It massively builds hype, without giving away all its money shots.
In other words, April 26 cannot come soon enough.
