9. Black Widow Sides With Stark And The Government
Natasha Romanoff first appeared in Iron Man 2, but since then she's grown closer to Steve Rogers than she has Tony Stark, serving as what was almost a co-lead in The Winter Soldier, and come the end of Age Of Ultron it is the two of them heading up what remains of the Avengers. Naturally, you'd assume she'd be on his side. However, as promo photos have already revealed, she takes Stark's side, and we get to see a bit more of why that is in this trailer. When the Sokovia Accords are first presented, it looks like it's Romanoff who they're given to. Clearly they make a big impression on her, as later on she's telling Cap not to get involved when it comes to Bucky and the government officials trying to capture him. That's the signal of some big tensions between the pair, and leads to Black Widow fighting against instead of alongside him as the film progresses. It won't so much be a loyalty to Stark, but rather a belief that the Accords are justified, or at least a reluctance to oppose the government.
